What is axe throwing?

Axe throwing is an exciting recreational activity that involves throwing an axe towards a wooden target, aiming to hit the bullseye or accumulate points based on where the axe lands. Axe throwing is fun for serious axe throwers looking to test their accuracy and hone their skills and for casual players who are looking for some friendly competition.

If you’ve never been axe throwing before, we can’t wait to introduce you and we think you’ll have a great time!

Is axe throwing safe?

Safety is The Knight’s Den’s top priority. Our venue meets all safety regulations, and our staff will provide proper training and guidelines to ensure a safe experience. Closed toed shoes are required for anyone throwing or spectating.

How old do you have to be to throw axes?

The minimum age to enter The Knight’s Den is 12. Minors aged 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult and have a waiver signed by a legal guardian.

How many people can participate at once?

Our venue can accommodate groups of varying sizes. Each lane contains two targets and we provide 1 lane for groups of 4-8 throwers. We have 3 lanes with a total of 6 targets.

Do I need previous experience to participate?

No prior experience is necessary! Our certified coaches will provide a safety briefing along with a lesson on throwing techniques and tips. Beginners are always welcome.

Can I buy a gift card?

Yes! Gift cards are available for purchase here.

Are outside axes allowed?

We supply multiple styles of axes and hatchets for you to choose between and you do not need to bring any axes of your own. Personal/outside hatchets are allowed but must be inspected and approved by a Knight’s Den coach prior to use. Our facility does not accommodate big axes.

What should I wear?

We recommend comfortable, flexible clothing that will allow full range of motion for throwing. Closed toed shoes are required. Please no loose scarves or hoodies as they could get caught with the axe.

Are spectators allowed?

All persons in a group must be accounted for on a reservation and will need to sign a liability waiver and be wearing closed toed shoes. We understand some may not be excited about axe throwing but in our experience everyone will want in on the fun once they see it in action!

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed. The Knight’s Den also has a cooler with beverages for purchase.

Can we bring alcohol to the venue?

The Knight’s Den is an alcohol-free venue. Please do not bring alcohol to the facility.

Can I host a private event or party at your venue?

Do you take walk-ins?
